So i finally caught Be kind Rewind last night and it was pretty good. It had alot of great ideas and was alot of fun. Some of the themes were about how people love movies and connect with them, as well as make movies themselves. One scene (also seen in the trailer) has the movie studios coming down on Mos Def and Jack Black's operation. Kind of describing the way the studios seem more worried about making money and protecting their assets instead of making FILMS.
Anyways, after finishing the movie it seemed ironic that the theatrical cut was controlled by the studio rather than the director because alot of scenes seemed to be missing.
The movie had a lot of great parts though, a few had me crackin up so hard i was crying. seriously. I dont think anythings made me laugh that hard in awhile. But this movie's not for everyone.
On another note ive gone thru a few books since I got my job at Oldnavy.com. Its pretty nice having something good to read when youve got a long ass bart ride to and from work.
its been awhile since ive posted anything. Been thinking about posting alot more, just whatevers in my head. But do people really read blogs for words? or for pictures? If i rant on about something, is it to be read or is it to get ideas out of my head?
"Makin’ love for two.
Makin’ love for two minutes.
When it’s with me you only need two minutes, ‘cause I’m so intense. Two
minutes in heaven is better than one minute in heaven. You say
something like, “Is that it?” I know what you’re trying to say. You’re
trying to say, “Aww yeah, that’s it.” Then you tell me you want some
more. Well I’m not surprised. But I’m quite sleepy."
OHHHHH YEAHHHH.... Thanks to the copy team at work for introducing me to Flight of the conchords, havnt laughed like this in awhile. DVD drops in nov!
